Weber Baby Q Gas Grill
FuturesCast aluminum lid and body;Super-portable with a spacious 189 sq. in. total cooking area;True open flame grilling;Tubular stainless steel burner;8,500 BTU-per-hour input;
Customer Review:Great GrillThis is a nicely made small grill. It is heavier than some portable grills, weighing in at around 35 pounds. The weight is however largely attributable to the cast iron cooking grate. You can lighten the load by moving the grill and grate separately. The heavy grate retains heat and does a much better job of searing meat and veggies than do the light weight racks in many cheap grills (I think of these as cooling racks for bread). The unit is nice looking and easily assembled. It heats to a cooking temperature of about 500 in less than ten minutes. There has been lots of discussion of the retaining ring, so I knew what to expect. I just bought the portable 16 ounce containers, took a stub Philips head screwdriver, and removed the ring in about two minutes. I just screw in the canister and get grilling. I live on the third floor and am not allowed to grill on the balcony, so I carry this Baby down three flights and set it outside, with me keeping an eye on it (it's eye-catching and I don't want to lose it). After cooking, I leave the top up, and it is cool enough for me to carry it, slightly away from my body, back up the stairs in about ten minutes. I look forward to bringing it along for car camping. This is a great grill, enough for a family that is not obsessive about grilling. I also own a Weber Genesis Premium grill (stainless steel grates, mica finish, etc) that costs almost 4 times as much, and the Flavorizer bars do make it a better cooking device, but I cannot use it in my current apartment. The Baby Q is a very acceptable substitute, reaching the same temps if not quite imparting the same flavor. I feel like I got my money's worth and love the portability. I picked up the hose adapter just in case I switch over and the cover. I passed on the cart. The Baby Q is fine on the ground or on a picnic table, or a tail gate.
Weber is great for customer service. I hope they come out with a retainer ring sized for the 16 ounce canister, but I just work without it until then. The canister when carefully screwed in fully does not move or seem to stress the connection without a ring.
Dont lisen to negative.This grill is the best ever. It is not to heavy but it is big. The food cooks evenly. The stand is sturdy and the drip pans are another plus. My only complaint which does not really count is the size of the propane tankes. They are small but last enough for me. But they are so cheap that thats even another plus. Great For Small Apt.I have a very small apartment, and out landlord doesn't want a grill kept outside.
So I went for the Baby Q, and it is a great portable grill, I keep it inside, and just set it up on the patio whenever I want to grill.
When I got it, the manual was missing, Weber sent me a new one in about a week (no charge). Putting the grill together 'sans manual' took me about 10 minutes, counting the time to pull off the cylinder bracket.
I would recomend this grill to anyone with limited space or a tailgating habit. I also highly recomend yanking the bracket and upgrading to 16.4 oz propane cans, they rest just fine on the same surface the grill is on, just don't move the grill with the can on if you have the bracket off. Eventualy I'll rig up a larger bracket, (or just make the one it came with into a hook), pulling the cylinder every time the grill moves can be annoying.
The heavy cast-iron grate makes up for the fairly small heat output from the burner, this thing stays hot no matter what I toss on it. Just let it preheat for 10 minutes or so, and you're good to go. Keywords: Apartment Patio; Whimsical; (Whimsy); Home; Grilling; Barbecue; (BBQ);

Customer Review:Modified To Accommodate The Baby QThis cart is a must have! There was an earlier review wherein the reviewer said that the cart was for the Q, and not the Baby Q. I am always impressed with Weber products and I am not surprised that they "listened" and responded to the comment. The cart that I received has a position for the Q, and a position for the Baby Q. Kudos to Weber for their fine products and their response to customer's comments. rolling cart for Weber Baby QThis is a very good cart for the Baby Q grill. The grill fits on it perfectly. It's made very well, as is the Weber Baby Grill.
Don G. Rolling CartAnother product that is everything and more. Comes pre assembled, and the grill just sits right on top. Lightweight and easy to manuever. Step 2 5A00 Garden HopperAs any gardener knows, even the best-laid plans for spending a day with the soil can be ruined by the necessity for repeated trips to the house or shed for the proper equipment. With the Step 2 Garden Hopper, however, it's possible to pack everything you need for a full day's gardening and take it all wherever you go. The Garden Hopper features an extremely sturdy seat that's just high enough to offer a comfortable perch yet low enough to keep you close to your garden. While a molded carrying handle is included within the seat itself, the Hopper's 7-inch wheels make it simple to scoot about without rising. With its sturdy double-wall construction, the Garden Hopper is strong enough to take a lot of rugged treatment. Beneath the seat is a large storage space, perfect for holding your gloves, tools, seeds, cellular phone, and other accessories you may need. In addition, this handy garden helper includes a built-in holder for a 12-ounce beverage, eliminating the need to run back into the house for refreshment. Customer Review:Garden hopper I really like this little garden helper.
My mother-in-law (75yrs old) and I (still young) garden together.
The Garden Hopper has been great for both of us, she can sit
and I can store tools underneath Handy For Narrow gardensI purchased this as a gift for my wife, who cultivates a small front garden of flowers and spices, and a small side garden on the side of our house. This device is great, allowing her to move and reach items she needs. I think it is a great device for simple gardening, but I would think larger gardens may be a little larger than this item can handle. However, for small "urban or suburban" gardens, I doubt I could find anything better. I suggest this device for all entry level gardeners. Small storage area for tools, seat and cupholder are great.This is a sturdy cute little addition to my gardening tool collection. The seat is perfect for clipping grass around flower beds. The cup holder is a wonderful idea, now I finish my margaritas not the roses. A warning though, the storage area under the seat is very small. Even a small hand weeder will stick out. Weber 2005 841001 22 1/2-Inch Performer Charcoal Grill with Touch-N-Go Propane Ignition, BlackMany outdoor chefs swear by charcoal for the smoky, old-school flavor it lends to meat--but no one likes the mess or the hassle of starting the coals, or the chemical aftertaste that lighter fluid can leave. The Performers Touch-n-Go ignition system uses liquid propane to light charcoal briquets with just the touch of a button. Once the coals are white-hot, youre ready to cook. Even cleaning up afterwards wont get your hands dirty, thanks to Webers patented One-Touch cleaning system--a simple sweep of a lever pushes ashes into a removable catch pan for quick and easy disposal. The Performers exceptionally-durable construction includes a rust-resistant, porcelain-enameled steel bowl and lid. Heavy-duty, hinged grates made from plated steel offer easy access to the classic kettle-shaped bowl when its time to add briquets to the fire. A dual-purpose thermometer allows cooks to monitor the temperature inside the grill, then removes to test meat for doneness. A Tuck-Away holder holds the lid conveniently out of the way plus provides a windscreen for lighting. Rugged, weather-resistant wheels are crack-proof in the most extreme temperatures and allow easy transport, while locking casters prevent the grill from rolling while you cook. Rust-free aluminum vents adjust to provide perfect airflow in changing conditions. An integrated storage container keeps up to 20 pounds of charcoal dry and within reach, and the granite-look Thermoset work surface provides a handy place to store marinades and sauces while you cook. Also included are welded steel charcoal fuel holders that facilitate cooking with direct or indirect heat as well as a five-pound liquid propane tank. The assembled unit measures 40 by 50-1/4 by 28-1/2 inches, with a 22-1/2 inch cooking surface. Bowl, handles, lid, and One-Touch cleaning system are covered by a 10-year warranty; cooking grate and charcoal baskets have a 1-year warranty; and the burner assembly, hose, test valve, and regulator have a 3-year guarantee. Customer Review:Excellent ProductEasy to put together (even for an unhandy man such as myself), very easy to use, makes using the Weber 50% more convenient than using the standard kettle. The charcoal bin is a great feature and the work area is topnotch. Before you switch to a gas grill for convenience sake, look into this item. weber grillterrific grill- all the best of charcoal without the hassle of starting it. Don't give up on charcoal!I have always been a charcoal purist and a long-time Weber griller. My whole family is made up of charcoal die-hards but I work long hours and waiting for me to come home and fire up the grill simply made grilling on weekdays impractical. I began to browse the propane grills. I was having a VERY hard time paying so much more for an inferior grill (and what's up with the size and price of propane grills?!? It's like the next generation of the my-SUV-is-bigger-than-yours game, I guess). Also, I couldn't help but imagine the looks of disdain from my father-in-law and brother-in-law at the next BBQ event at my house. I JUST COULDN'T DO IT. When I found the Weber Performer, I knew I had found grill nirvana. Now my wife can fill the baskets with briquets (or I can the night before) and when I come home the coals are already gray. Now she's cut me out of the process entirely and is a grill master herself. This grill is a propane killer! Keywords: Grilling; Outdoor Cooking; Charcoal Grills; Barbecue; (BBQ); (Barbeque);
